Ryan Logue, LCPC (i.e. “Cayden (Ryan)”)
cayden@reflective-counseling.com

Experience Since 2008 | United States | Columbia, MD
Clinician Statement
“I primarily specialize in trauma, as well as anxiety, depression, and
personality disorders. I primarily use Dialectical Behavior Therapy
(DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal
Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization
Reprocessing (EMDR). These techniques put an emphasis on mindful
attention and highlight client strengths, resilience, and choice. Additionally,
I use compassion and explore my clients’ values to gently challenge them
to find more effective ways of getting their needs met. At times I use
humor, and a conversational and dynamic therapeutic style to create a
judgment-free, supportive, and safe environment; disarming the self-critic;
and allowing my clients to express themselves with self-compassion and
without inhibition.”
Clinician Education
“I believe it very important for clients to know about the education and
experience of their clinicians. I have been working in mental health since 2008
I have worked on the suicide hotline, helped conduct trainings
for volunteers for the hotline, provided training in Mental Health First Aid
for community agencies, worked with the homeless, severely and
persistently mentally ill (schizophrenia, bipolar, schizoaffective primarily)
prior to getting my master’s degree in counseling from Johns Hopkins
University (2010). Since then, I have run multiple day programs, a DBT
program for teens and adults, provided training in DBT as well as DBT supervision groups, and worked in both non-profit and for-profit
agencies. I started my own private practice in 2020 and am currently
providing consultation for other mental health clinicians.
I believe that it is paramount that therapists maintain knowledge of the
most current and effective treatment modalities. To maintain the Licensed
Clinical Professional Counselor license, LCPCs must complete at least 40
continuing education credits every two years. Because I believe it is
important for clients to know as much as they can about their clinician’s
educational background and interests, I have included all trainings and
certifications here.
Currently, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP),
Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Provider (C-PD). Certified in
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-C), Certified Narcissistic Abuse
Treatment Clinician (CNATC), and am trained in EMDR, the Gottman
Method Level-1, and have completed courses in Geek Therapy, Improv
Therapy, and Religious Trauma.”
Personal Background

“I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and have been out as gay
since the late 90s. I have come out as transgender in late 2024. My
pronouns are he/him/she/her/and they/them (I’m pretty much good with
anything). I have a partner to whom I have been married for over ten
years. I am a proud owner of two rescue dogs (Shadow and Nora) and
one previously feral cat (Newt). I am a huge fan of horror movies and all
things drag and enjoy writing, painting, and board game/role-play game
nights with friends.”

Matt Rudy
matt@reflective-counseling.com

Gaming Co-Facilitator
Experience
Matt has been playing Minecraft for well over a decade (there were less than five types of trees at the time!), and his engineering background lends itself to the game’s digital crafting and inventive environments. Matt is thrilled to bring his in-game knowledge to the digital social skills groups, where he can facilitate gameplay for new and old players alike. The limitless digital spaces are excellent to use to decompress, distract, practice mindfulness, or exercise new social skills, all which Matt has been endeavoring to do himself, since discovering such a creative game environment.
Matt also has extensive experience in creating worlds and plots of numerous role-playing games. In fact, he is even running a game specifically for other mental health professionals. He endeavors to create intricate plot lines and complex puzzles and problems that can be solved in a variety of different ways; regularly rewarding all players who think outside the box and demonstrate continued growth as a character in the game, and as a player cooperating with others.
Megan Reid
admin@reflective-counseling.com

Administrative Assistant
Experience
My name is Megan and I’ve been involved in mental health for 8+ years now. I love animals, video games, reading, watching TV and relaxing in my spare time. I appreciate a good sci fi or horror film/book over other genres. Most of my free time I spend with my son who is 4 years old and keeps me busy. While I can’t sing in tune, that’s never stopped me from enjoying karaoke.
Mental health has always been important to me as I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. Your brain is the processing system in your body so it’s very important to take care of your mental health so you can also take care of your body. Mental health is pivotal to your overall well being and I believe everyone could benefit from therapy. Having a neutral outside opinion can really help you analyze and reevaluate how you treat others and more importantly how you treat yourself.
